Introduction of sheepskin gloves
Friends who know leather goods know that the best leather for gloves is sheepskin, which is very durable, smooth and comfortable.
Sheepskin is the skin of bovine goat or sheep. The skin of goat or sheep contains moisture, protein, fat and inorganic substances. The content of the latter two is very small. The protein that constitutes the epidermis is mainly keratin; the dermis is mainly collagen and reticulin, and it also contains elasticity. Hard protein, albumin, globulin and mucin, etc.;
How to identify sheepskin
The characteristics of sheepskin are that the grained pores are flat and round, and the pores are obliquely penetrated into the leather; the pores are clear, and several are arranged in groups, which are arranged like scales or zigzags. The pattern features such as “water ripple” shape. Sheepskin is light, thin and soft, and is an ideal fabric for leather clothing. The clothing made of it has beautiful patterns, soft and natural luster, light, soft, and elastic, but its strength is not as strong as cowhide and pigskin.
Sheep skin: There is a lot of fat in the cortex, the fibrous tissue of the skin is loose, very soft, the grain surface is fine and smooth, and the extensibility is large, but it is not strong.
Goat skin: The fat content in the cortex is less, the fibrous tissue is fuller than that of sheep skin, the pores are clear, the cortex is elastic, firm and durable.
1. One look: Identify the fine lambskin through the texture and pores cleaned on the surface of the leather; see the flexible sheepskin fibers through the fibers of the cut surface of the sheepskin!
Second, second smell: Especially the first layer of lambskin that has been polished by hand has a stronger leather fragrance; however, those gloves with leather or imitation leather usually have the smell of chemical paint!
Three, three touches: The outer layer of top lambskin is very smooth, and the inner layer is very delicate and comfortable to fit the skin because of the delicate fragrance of sheepskin, but silk cotton and even chemical polyester are relatively hard!
Fourth, four burns: like real lambskin and other natural skins such as cowhide, the ashes left after burning are easily twisted into powder with fingers, and at the same time emit the smell of protein (such as burnt eggs), which has a fragrance; but With leather or imitation leather, there will be a pungent smell of burning plastic!
